Why You Need A Mentor In Internet Marketing

Why You Need A Mentor In Internet Marketing?

The best way to learn properly is to get someone who is already an expert to teach you. Through using a mentor, I speed up the learning process and avoided a lot of the pitfalls, bad habits and mistakes many self taught internet marketers pick up along the way.

My mentor
advised and guided me through my career as a internet marketer. He saved me a lot of trouble and made me aware of all the loopholes.

Whatever area of your life you want to develop in, it is important that you have a mentor. Whether this is in your career, your personal life, your business or your hobbies. A mentor can speed up the learning process and help you to become the expert and success you want to be.

So how do you find a mentor?

Well, you may know someone who is already an expert and could approach them and ask them. You could join forums on the Internet and find experts there (though check their credentials first). Search for websites of people in the area you want to learn from. You may find they have books to help you or even provide a one to one coaching service. You can also read biographies and auto-biographies of people you want to learn from and model them.

Sometimes you may have to pay a mentor, whether with money or through providing them some service or help. Other times people will be happy to mentor you for free just to help you out. When you become an expert you too may want to give something back and mentor other people.

A mentor will save you a lot of time and effort in the long run, and it is well worth your time and effort to find one to shorten your learning curve. Whatever area of your life you are working on, business, personal or pleasure, find yourself a mentor to help propel you forwards to the level of success you desire.

Marketing with mentor.

In my discussion today: “5 Steps To Get Listed On 1st Page Of Google In 24 Hours”.

List Building

Step 1: Decide what keyword phrase you want to rank for

So the first step is to find a keyword phrase that is low in competition but with good demand. How to do it?
For product review, a common practice is to target the product name.

Step 2: Find an authority site
Assuming you found your million dollar keyword phrase, if you want to get listed on the first page of Google within 24 hours, your webpage must be hosted on an authority site. An authority site is a well-established, high PR site with great contents.

If you don’t have an authority site, you can leverage on other authority sites that allows you to post articles to it. Some of the famous ones include Squidoo, Blogspot and Ezinearticles. I recommend Squidoo and Blogspot. Ezinearticles.com has many constraints and it’s difficult to expand in the future.

Step 3: Write an article

After finding an authority site, your next step is to write a review or article about the product you are going to promote and publish it on the authority site.

The article should meet the following criteria:

- It must be optimized for the keyword phrase you’re targeting. (This is called onpage optimization. I’m not going to talk about onpage optimization here. It’s very standard and you can easily pick up an ebook to learn about it.)
- It must be convincing. (You have to put on your marketing cap when writing the article.)
- It should provide proof that the product works.
- It should give some kind of bonuses for those who purchase from your link (Optional, depending on the product you’re promoting.).

Step 5: Publish the articles and build links

The last step is to publish both articles and build lots of links to the main article.

Say if you publish the main article in Squidoo, you can post the second article to Blogspot, Hubpages, Ezinearticles and other established article directories, linking the second article back to your main article in Squidoo. You can also bookmark your Squidoo page as well as the pages with your second article in social bookmarking sites such as Digg and Propeller.

You should be able to complete Step 1 to 5 within a day.

Assuming you complete all these within a day and sleep through the whole of the following day, on the 3rd day, that is 24 hours after you completed Step 1-5, your Squidoo page should be listed in Google. Whether it’s on the first page depends on how competitive your keyword phrase is. If you’ve chosen a long-tail keyword with low competition, your Squidoo page should be listed on the first page of Google.

(Optional) Step 6-999: Keep building links

What if your main review article is not listed on the first page of Google? Well, just keep building more links to that article. Search this blog for more link building strategies.

Internet Marketing Mentor – Who Should You Follow?

I’m quite sure that you have constantly been bombarded with offers from different internet marketing gurus asking you to buy their products or other guru’s products.

The problem is, every product looks good. Even if you have money to buy all of them, you wouldn’t have the time to study them!

The secret, my friend, is to be selective in which guru you listen to.

Before deciding on whether to buy the coaching program, the first thing I did was to Google for the name of this guru and find out how he makes money. Since the invent on internet nowadays quite difficult for anybody to hide is reputation and what had he or she had been done in the past.

What I’m try to tell you is don’t blindly listen to a guru simply because he is famous. Look behind the scene and find out what he does for living.

If what the guru does is what you envision to do, by all means, listen to everything he says. Or else, that guru is NOT your guru.

Get what I mean?

NOTE: You will also may found some bad words about some famous(e.g.scam, lie ext.) guru’s but found it later only a “gimmick” just want you to click on their link

Last month, I got into a membership coaching program by internet marketing guru, Alex Jeffreys. I invested in his program because he makes more sense for ordinary people like me who had been bombard with so many marketing ideas but forgot which is the real money in any internet marketing mentor is in the list.

I got into his program and learn everything he taught. And just yesterday what a fortunate for me there was special bonus webinar which Alex Jeffreys brings Rich Schefren who is “Guru’s of The Guru’s” in internet marketing industry. What a very informative webinar then!(will blog about it later)

Lastly I highly recommend you to get his FREE REPORT because there are tons of videos and tutorials that I used to pay to view maybe he not making a million yet but sooner this year.

That’s all for today. Remember, the next time you see an offer from another internet marketing guru, ask yourself, is the way that guy makes money the way you want to make money? If the answer is ‘no’, don’t waste your time on that offer.

7 Tips For Free Traffic With Youtube

This tips just came in my mailbox today which I like to share with you. It were  great 7 tips for free traffic with Youtube which sent by Dave Gale.

It gets an absolute ton of traffic and it’s an authority site…

Youtube
That means it’s not that hard to get your videos ranking in the search engines to get
you a ton of traffic. Here’s HOW to do it:

1) Decide What To Promote

Pick something to promote, it could be your own product or an affiliate offer.

2) Quick Keyword Research
Use Googles free keyword tool and search for some targeted keywords that do not have too much competition.

3) Create short videos to upload to Youtube
They don’t have to be anything fancy, just offer a few good tips. You can just put some bullet points on a powerpoint slide or even a Word doc and record that with you
speaking over it.

4) Advertise The Website You Want People To Go To
No point in any of this if you don’t! At least show the website clearly at the end of the video with a call to action. You can even display your site url throughout the video to. I recomend sending people to a squeeze page where they can get a free report or some other bribe. That way people will be motiviated to go to your site and you can build a list. You can then redirect them to your product or affiliate link when they opt in.

5) Optimize Each Video
When you upload your video to Youtube you will need to fill in 3 things:
A) Title
B) Tags
C) Description

Make each video optimized for one of your keywords. You can do this with the title of
the video – just start the title with  keyword you are targeting, as long as it makes sense. Also use it in the keyword tags and description.

Description Tip:
Start and end the description with the website url you are promoting as this will be clickable to people who view your video.

6) Promote Your Own Videos
This is a huge tip! If you build some backlinks to your own videos they will rank higher. Now you don’t have to go overboard here as:
A) You are already targeting keywords which do not have a lot of competition
B) You are also capitalizing on YouTubes established authority.

But just by using some social bookmarking for example you will give your self an edge. Hardly anyone does this but you can seriously dominate the search engines
from this one tip alone!

7) Scale It Up

Once you start doing this and you are making some moolah I recommend reinvesting some of your profits to scale your whole operation up. Even if you are at this full time there are only so many videos you can make.

So start hiring other people to create and upload videos for you so you skyrocket your profits. You can even hire people to promote your videos by getting backlinks
to them, or you could invest in automation tools etc.

Lastly to credit Dave Gale you can go here, this latest project by Dave Gale which result I’m received the email I’m not affiliate for what ever.

Where To Get The Traffic You Want

Not all traffic is the same. Getting a gazillion hits is great, but not if it is from random subjects and subjects. You want to focus on traffic that has a reasonable chance of converting.

Many sites make the mistake of trying to be all things to all people. It is far better to stick to a specific service or product than it is to offer limited options to customers.
If you are selling hiking gear, be the best damn hiking gear site on the net and nothing else.

This same problem arises when sites target traffic generation strategies. The key to cost effective marketing is to get worthwhile web site traffic. At first blush, getting as much traffic as possible, regardless of how, sounds like a smart move. It is not.  Doing so wastes your money, distracts you from what you should be doing and diverts your time from doing just that. If you are paying for traffic, you must find credible traffic sources. Credible traffic is simply traffic from sources and locations that are relevant to your site.  If you have looked into generating traffic, you have probably seen offers of 100,000 hits for $50. Yes, you will get 100,000 hits. Of course, the traffic is coming off of free lottery sites or the visitors are being paid to visit your site.  This traffic is not credible and will not convert into revenues.
capture3
The best place to find credible web site traffic is Google and Overture. These are pay-per-click search engines that list your ads directly on their search results.
This means you can specify the keyword phrases you want to be listed under, to wit, targeting your advertising to your market.  You can also create filters that limit the ad placements to searches from certain geographic locations, such as the United States or Europe. This further targets your traffic by excluding clicks from some country which you can’t possibly do business with.

You can also get credible traffic from web sites and traffic vendors. The sites handle it differently, but you can often buy ad space on their sites in the form of a banner. There are some credible services out there, but there are a lot more dubious ones.
Personally, I do not use any of them, but it is your money.

Focusing your marketing is important if you want a good return on investment.  You can get credible web site traffic from a lot of sources, but Google and Overture are the best.

Please comments if you have more ideas regarding getting traffic to your site which if proven worthwhile.

What’s Stopping You?

Have you ever had a terrific idea which you didn’t act on? Of course you have. I don’t mean anything fancy either. Nothing earth-shattering. Just a plain old-fashioned good idea which would have made you more money. But you didn’t get moving on it.

Do you have more ideas than action steps? Why don’t you just get going?

I encounter this issue often with people who have tons of great ideas about what to do next, that never get implemented. And they want to know why.

Have you thought about what stops you from acting on ideas or programs which could bring rich rewards?

I have, and I think there are several simple reasons.

1. Lack of an inspiring, motivating purpose

Why should we do anything? Why indeed! That missing why is called purpose. Without a strong purpose the urgent things take over. The ringing telephone takes over. “You’ve Got Mail” takes over. The knock at the door takes over. Inertia takes over.

In physics we learn that it takes additional energy to break free of inertia. A powerful purpose adds that energy. Energy that organizes your actions, and brings the important things to the fore. To break free of the inertia of your current routine, you need an inspiring purpose.

2. No clear vision

Imagine yourself at a six-way intersection in a fog so thick you can’t see a single landmark. You can’t even read the road signs. Which way will you go? If you do pick a direction, will you be confident about setting out, or will you proceed slowly, hoping for the fog to clear a bit before you pick up the pace?

Everybody wants to go somewhere–at least everybody in business does. But without a clear vision you can’t see where you want to go. And if you don’t see it, you won’t proceed aggressively and confidently on a course toward it– whatever it is–will you? So even if you craft a plan–to take you…somewhere, you aren’t likely to execute it. At least not anytime soon.

3. Not willing to make sacrifices or do the work

You already have more than enough to do, and whatever else you take on means something has to be set aside. Sacrifice means giving up something of value for something of even greater value. Which means there is something more valuable to sacrifice for. And you haven’t clarified what that ’something’ is. Or maybe you aren’t sure that it is worth it.

In this same category I put: giving up free time, relaxation time, play time, or whatever. But it always comes down to sacrifice, and the big question is, is it worth it. (By the way, I plead guilty to this one. There are times when I feel I have something important to accomplish, I just don’t feel it’s important enough to get off the couch for. What gets me moving is reciting the litany of purpose: “Why did I feel it was important? And what will happen because of that? And why is THAT important? And so on.)

4. Lack of belief

If you are certain something will work, there is no risk and you will likely take action. On the other hand, if you are uncertain–and most things are uncertain to some degree–you wonder if it the risk is worth it.

So what do you believe? Do you believe your actions will pay off or not? If you aren’t sure, how much effort will you put into it? Will you hesitate? Postpone? Procrastinate? Go at half-speed?

Or maybe ‘it’ will work, in someone’s hands, but you don’t believe it will work in yours. In other words, you lack of confidence that you can get it done, and the risk is too great.

Each of these issues can be addressed by having a powerful purpose–and an inspiring set goals to achieve. When these are strong enough, they make the potential reward that much bigger and alter the risk-reward ratio in favor of action.

5. Fear

Sometimes it comes down to fear. You have a vision and a purpose, and you think the risks are acceptable. But what if it doesn’t work out. Then what? That’s fear. It won’t work out the way you want it to. What will you be left with then? Or even worse, not only will it not work out, but something bad will come as a result of it.

6. Everything else

You just have other things to do. Like what? Like the day- to-day stuff of running your business or doing your job. You can’t just keep piling it on, can you? No, you can’t. The question is, are the things you are already doing all worth while? Should some of it be delegated? Should some of it be dumped, or put on the back burner?

Once again, you must weight what you are already doing against your purpose and goals. If your existing action set is effectively driving you towards your goals, there’s no need to do more. But if you aren’t moving sure-footedly in that direction, then you need to shift things around and make room for what will.

You may have to realign your priorities, and reevaluate your options so that your available time and energy is dedicated to moving you in the right direction.

What about you?

What stops you? Any one of these six things can hold you back, or it may be a combination of things. Once you identify what stops you, it is much easier to address and get moving. Now you can transform your ideas into an action plan.

To me, the best websites that generate web traffic must achieve one of the followings:

- They must either help me to generate lots of targeted traffic FAST

- Or they must help me to generate traffic CONSISTENTLY WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT FROM ME.

Personally, I try to avoid traffic generation websites that require me to post ads every few days. This is time consuming and not the best use of my time.

Let’s look at some examples that fit into my criteria.

If you want lots of web traffic fast, especially in the IM niche, one of my favorite source is paid to read emails websites. For less than 100 bucks, you get thousands of traffic to your website. This type of website is what I mean by “lots of targeted traffic FAST”. You need to spend time preparing the ad every time you need the traffic, but the surge in traffic is well worth your effort.

The daily traffic may not be impressive, but over a period of time, the traffic can well accumulate to thousands. The best part is that the traffic is passive, i.e. you don’t have to spend much time working on it after the initial preparation.

Here’s my last advice: Many people are looking for the “holy grail” websites that generate web traffic magically. Such websites never exist. The “holy grail” is not found in the traffic generation websites but in YOUR STRATEGY.
