Thats a though provoking blog and I think we have a similar mind set.

Its only since the last module that I have been able to understand whats missing and develop a two plans of action.

one to generate traffic from outside the AJ forum community and a second to develop a web service that will automate the manufacture and shipment of Information CDs and DVDs.

By implementing the plan and recording the results, I am hoping that the milestones I achieve will give me the belief and purpose to follow the plan through.

Great post, I think a number of us will have had an idea or vision which has not gone anywhere for one reason or another. One of the key things that Alex has taught is the importance of changing what we have done and thought previously and also the understated importance of planning in order to focus.

I think that self-awareness is also key and the post identifies some of the factors which may be holding us back, which may appear obvious but are easy to overlook.

“Lack of belief” is my top reason. I like how you worked into that item that it could be you don’t believe the idea will work, or it could be you don’t believe that it will work when YOU do it.

To resolve this it might help to think of yourself as totally void of any skills of implementation. “How can I get this idea implemented without me doing anything at all?”

Like you say, you have to have a vision, make sacrifices, and believe in what you’re doing in order to succeed in this business. Most importantly, you MUST have a PLAN. Lose sight of these and you are destined to fail.

Alex is teaching us all a great job, and you are definitely heading for success

I think belief is very important. If people do something simple first and finsh that and gain some success they then gain the momentum to keep going forward,
